  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Directs the efforts of, and works cooperatively with, a team to produce timely and compliant final proposals including narrative, pricing, collateral, and final submission production
    • Quickly establishes mutually beneficial working relationships with team members and contributors to develop a trusting and respectful environment to collaborate
    • Ensures all internal timelines and external deadlines are met
    • Ensures all finished proposals and related documents contain all required information and documentation and meet company standards
    • Works creatively with leadership, operations, sales, and subject matter experts to assist in response design, including strategic alignment with funding customer goals
    • Collaborates within and outside the team to produce thorough, well-written, and compliant proposals in response to procurement solicitations, including but not limited to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and Invitations to Bid (ITBs) to maintain current business and obtain new business
    • Serves as lead writer (content developer) and/or project manager as assigned for proposal and non-RFP business development projects
    • Conducts research, analyzes data, and adapts findings to develop persuasive, customized proposals
    • Reviews, revises, edits, and incorporates responses from contributors into overall proposal
    • Provides guidance to team and contributors as it relates to aligning the priorities of the proposal process, RFP compliance, company standards, and the needs of the funding customer
    • Facilitates conversations and decision-making when the team and contributors have conflicting ideas
    • Aligns projects with company mission, vision, philosophy, and branding
    • Ensures narrative content and budget details are aligned
    • Participates in quality and compliance reviews of department projects produced by other team members; may serve as a point of escalation for guidance and input
    • Participates in business development activities including contract rebid and new business activities
    • May facilitate initial bid decision conversations to ensure project aligns with company businesses and services
    • May facilitate post-award activities to gather feedback from funders and promote continuous quality improvement
    • Presents information on project, company activities, and progress as invited or required at meetings and conferences
    • Involved in training new hires and sharing knowledge with team on an ongoing basis
    • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent significant work experience required
    • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel required; experience with Document Sharing Systems preferred
    • Prior experience working in or writing proposals for organizations in the health services preferred
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with personnel at all levels, from administrative support to subject matter experts to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
    • Strong leadership, organizational planning, prioritization, and time management skills; the ability to multitask and work against strict deadlines
    • Flexibility in the face of rapidly changing circumstances and shifting priorities
    • Strong reading comprehension and writing skills
    • Strong project management skills with high personal accountability
    • Organized and able to work with accuracy and efficiency on multiple projects with multiple teams simultaneously
    • Experience in a deadline-driven environment with high attention to detail and compliance
    • Experience in collaborative document construction and revision (may include grant writing)
    • Experience in operations and/or complex project management a plus; experience managing a team a plus
    • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and possess a quality customer service attitude
    • Desire to join a high-functioning, collaborative, and supportive team culture
