    Job Description

    The Proposal Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the proposal writing team. This position will drive proposal team planning and execution, develop, and edit proposal content, review proposal requirements, conduct analysis on RFPs, and assess strategies for responding to proposals and RFPs. The Proposal Manager will report to the Proposal Director. This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual that works well both independently and collaboratively and can organize multiple priorities and deadlines on any given day. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Organize the daily team scrum to review proposal priorities and progress for the team.
    • Implement and improve on the process for the development and submission of proposals and qualifications packages.
    • Provide quality control review of proposals prepared by others on the proposal writing team to ensure on-time delivery to the prospective client.
    • Review recommendations for improvement of templates and processes with the Proposal Director, to consistently drive toward more effective sales processes.
    • Develop technical proposals based on existing proposal templates, and corresponding estimates for level of effort and fees as needed to meet team deadlines. Coordinate and support the production, reproduction, binding, and packaging in finalizing the proposal submission and response processes.
    • Collaborate with internal Technical, Legal, and Finance teams as necessary to produce complete proposal packages.
    • Contact clients/prospects to obtain any additional information needed to develop the proposal, and confirm proposal receipt.
    • Collect, enter and maintain client and project data in our CRM platform (Deltek).
    • Oversee development of and maintain templates based on client needs.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Exceptional organizational and written communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of personnel management and supervisory practices, experience in working with and leading a 5-10 person team.

    • Cool under pressure of quick deadlines while managing multiple priorities and team members at a time.
    • Bachelor’s degree is required: experience in architecture, engineering, or related field is desirable.
    • 5 to 7 years of experience in proposal preparation and team management, prior experience with a consulting firm is desirable.
    • Expertise in English writing to perform information research and synthesize multiple sources (subject matter experts, previous proposals) into a cohesive, easy-to-read, and persuasive final product.
    • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Adobe InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
    • Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is desirable.
