DUTIES:
Looking for a part-time Proposal Writer who will be responsible for providing administrative support throughout the proposal process, coordinating with the Business Development Team to develop and submit compelling proposals. Should have a strong foundation with design software and advanced proficiency in Word, along with excellent writing and editing skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a can-do attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile to meet competing deadlines. May need to manage multiple proposals and create engaging visuals, and ensure that all submissions are organized, clear, and compliant with guidelines and client requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong experience working with Canva, Adobe InDesign is required, or other design software
Advanced level of MS Word (styles, formatting, etc.)
Knowledge of marketing and communication principles
Strong organizational, written, and spoken communication skills
Strong ability to manage proposal process from beginning to end, facilitating meetings, gathering information, and setting and meeting technical deadlines
A keen eye for detail, visualization, layout, and/or graphic design skills to facilitate appealing and effective communication
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively and respectfully with team members
Efficiency working under pressure
Strong writing and editing skills (including grammar and punctuation)
Attention to detail and excellent proofreading abilities
Ability to multi-task, be proactive, work independently or in a team setting, and establish priorities
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· BA/BS or equivalent experience in Communication, Marketing, Business or related field
· 5+ years’ experience in proposal writing, communication or marketing
· Federal technical writing experience a must
