    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a hands-on and innovative Prototype Engineer to design and develop physical prototypes of our systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with the engineering and R&D teams to rapidly iterate, build, and test prototypes, ensuring they meet military-grade performance and durability standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Prototype Development

    Design and develop physical prototypes of the first system. Work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate hardware and software components into the prototypes.

    Rapid Iteration

    Lead rapid prototyping cycles, iterating on designs based on feedback from testing and validation phases.

    Ensure prototypes meet defense standards for durability, precision, and operational functionality.

    Testing Support

    Assist in testing prototypes under simulated and real-world conditions to validate performance and durability.

    Collaborate with engineers to resolve any issues and improve designs based on test results.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.

    3+ years of experience in prototyping for defense or aerospace systems.

    Proficiency in prototyping techniques and tools (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining).

    Strong understanding of materials, defense-grade manufacturing processes, and production techniques.

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on rapid iteration and problem-solving.

    Security and Eligibility Requirements:

    Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

    Eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance if required.

    Due to the sensitive nature of our work in defense technology, we must comply with U.S. government regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and national security protocols. These regulations restrict access to certain technologies and information to U.S. persons only, ensuring that our projects meet strict security and legal standards. Eligible candidates must also be able to obtain security clearance as part of maintaining compliance with these national defense requirements.
