Create prototypes/mockups that best represent the final manufactured product including cutting, assembling, and embellishing.
Safely and efficiently use all prototyping tools and materials such as cutting tools, spray mount, glitter, foil applications and various embellishments to develop final product.
Coordinate with internal Creative, Sales and Product Development team to produce high quality prototypes/mockups efficiently.
Communicate with internal teams regarding ability to maintain schedules and deadlines.
Assist with preparing and printing digital files.
Instruct and lead freelancers.
Assist in assembly of presentation and trend boards as needed.
Maintain an organized workspace including personal work area and equipment.
Daily tracking of project status using Workfront.
Maintain inventory of prototyping supplies and materials.
Assist with miscellaneous projects as assigned (assist with shipping, sample archiving, etc.).
Required Skills
Required Experience
Associate’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Design or a related field plus 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory position.
Previous Creative, Art or Crafting background is preferred.
Superior manual dexterity skills for heavy cutting, assembling, embellishing and finishing.
Ability to guide and lead freelance staff, including maintaining a pool of skilled freelancers.
Strong ability to multitask, plan, and manage complex projects with a keen focus on details in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Intermediate level skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
Basic level skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Adobe Workfront experience is preferred.
Practical understanding of printing, manufacturing processes and color management is preferred.
Qualifications
Bachelors with minimum 4 years experience or equivalent relevant work experience.
