POSITION SUMMARY:
A top-rated medical center is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners for its 80-bed behavioral health hospital and 26-bed Clinical Stabilization Services located in Brockton, MA. This center operates as a behavioral health accountable care organization providing cutting edge inpatient treatment and stabilization for individuals experiencing complex mental health and substance use needs. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners are a critical part of a multidisciplinary team and possess unique expertise and a focus on providing quality behavioral health care to acute populations.
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners are dedicated team members responsible for assisting a variety of patients by evaluating medical and psychosocial conditions and overseeing the development and implementation of treatment plans. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to take care of the mental, emotional or behavioral disorders for patients engaged in services.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Provide evidence-based evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of patients including prescribing medications and/or other psychotherapeutic interventions
Provide treatment either independently or with physician supervision in accordance with Massachusetts regulations
Develop treatment plans, measure progress against the plans, and make adjustments as needed
Provide crisis intervention as needed
Complete all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner
Collaborate with a broader team of physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists, and occupational therapists to assess and adjust treatment plans
Coordinate and communicate with case managers, family members and other stakeholders regarding treatment and care
Participate in the teaching of students and other trainees
Participate in departmental and organizational quality improvement programs

Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Current valid DEA certificate and MA Controlled Substances certificate or eligibility

Compensation: $160,000 - $205,000 base salary annually, including full benefits (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, PTO, and more), Sign-On Bonus Negotiable.
