Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
The Kahm Center for Eating Disorders is a small family owned IOP and PHP treatment center for Eating Disorders located in Burlington Vermont. We are looking for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to work 4-8 hours per week seeing our patients in the partial hospitalization program. This position can be in person or remote. Pay is competitive and dependent on experience.
The Kahm Center for Eating Disorders is seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our Partial Hospitalization program. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of professionals in a supportive and innovative treatment environment.
Responsibilities Include:
Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations to diagnose mental health disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide medication management and prescribe appropriate pharmacological interventions based on evidence-based practices and patient needs.
Meet weekly with Partial Hospitalization Patients
Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, dietitians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients.
Monitor patient progress, assess treatment efficacy, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
Review laboratory results to ensure appropriate level of care.
Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing on a PMHNP track, at minimum, from an accredited program.
Board Certified by the ANCC as PMHNP.
Current license as APRN or PCNS, or be license-eligible.
Possess DEA prescriptive authority within 60 days of hire
Must hold or obtain CPR / BLS certificate prior to providing services.
Eating disorder experience is highly desired, and we consider clinical rotations and/or practice to be clinical experience.
