    We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner PMHNP (Remote) to become a part of our team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team.     Primary Job Responsibilities:

    Responds to and initiates care for those requiring mental health services.

    Identifies patient mental health problems and prescribes treatment to include medication.

    Implements mental health services utilizing therapeutic regimens.

    Provides mental health education to patients and medical staff.

    Provide health/behavioral health assessment (including differential diagnoses, prognosis), treatment recommendations and treatment planning for clients.

    Provide medication management for clients on medication and intermittent reassessment (as needed).

    Provide counseling, brief therapy, psychoeducation about health/behavioral health and other care for clients as planned by the treatment team and to support the treatment plan of the client. Participate in case reviews and contribute to treatment planning goal setting.

    Education, Certification, and Experience Requirements:

    Must be licensed by the state of Maryland and/or the District of Columbia as a Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with active DEA.

    Bachelor’s degree in nursing and a nurse practitioner master’s degree with focus on psychiatric nursing.

    Two or more years of training or direct service experience diagnosing, treating, and evaluating the effectiveness of treatment of children, adolescents, and adults.

    Knowledge of medications, assessment for medication complications, detoxification protocols and prescribing medications in general.

    Must have fluency in documenting into an electronic medical record.

    Excellent communication skills.

    Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities required.

    Tools and Equipment Requirements:

    Must have a designated work area/office that supports applicable to state and federal privacy laws. Required to have an operable computer with video capability, security software, and high-speed internet capacity.
