Lighthouse Therapeutic Services is seeking new talent to join our team! We’re seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who is motivated, knowledgeable, and will be an asset to our expansion. Lighthouse Therapeutic Services is a trauma and recovery informed mental health and substance abuse agency that specializes in treating adults. We are licensed by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services to provide ASAM Levels 2.1 and 2.5 services. As an essential member of our direct care team, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) works directly with patients to deliver medication-assisted treatment options for those with Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and assists patients in their recovery journey. Responsibilities · Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage ongoing support for individuals suffering from complex substance use disorders (SUDs) and related comorbidities. · Obtain the patient’s goals for their recovery and help them in achieving these goals over time through a therapeutic alliance. · Educate patients on SUDs and related comorbidities, recovery strategies, and safe use where necessary. · Coordinate with Interdisciplinary Team to develop and oversee treatment plans, adjusting them as needed. · Provide patient care coverage during some nonstandard hours, including evenings and weekends. · Effectively use technology to maximize the patient experience. · Interpret and share lab results with patients, without judgement, in order to help them meet their goals and stay safe. · Enable care coordination, connecting patients to clinical resources outside of Lighthouse Therapeutic Services through referrals where necessary, working with Counselors and Care advocates to help patients access social resources and navigate the healthcare system. · PMHNP certification. · Licensed to practice in state of Virginia. · Must live within Hampton Roads/Tidewater Area · Active non-restricted DEA license. · Ideally bring experience managing SUDs through medication assisted recovery. · Degree from an accredited school of nursing and a graduate-level nurse practitioner program. · Proficiency in electronic medical records and video conferencing. · Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team · Outstanding communication and collaboration. Certification & Licensures · PMHNP certification. · Licensed to practice in state of Virginia · Active non-restricted DEA license. · Ideally bring experience managing SUDs through medication assisted recovery. · Degree from an accredited school of nursing and a graduate-level nurse practitioner program. · Proficiency in electronic medical records and video conferencing. *This position requires the provider to live/work in Virginia and have a license to practice in VA along with an active DEA license. Must have a VA Driver's License. This position also requires a minimum of 5 years experience as a PMHNP. Please only continue applying if these apply.
