    Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive mental health care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care in various settings, ensuring that patients receive the support they need to achieve optimal mental health.

    Responsibilities

    Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations and assessments of patients with psychiatric disorders.

    Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.

    Provide medication management, including prescribing and monitoring psychiatric medications.

    Perform procedures such as gastric lavage and IV infusion when necessary.

    Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients in inpatient and home care settings.

    Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions using eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems.

    Engage in triage processes to prioritize patient needs effectively.

    Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.

    Stay current with advancements in psychiatric nursing practices and participate in ongoing professional development.

    Requirements

    Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing.

    Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice.

    Strong knowledge of anatomy and psychiatric disorders.

    Experience in inpatient settings preferred; experience with infant care is a plus.

    Familiarity with ophthalmology practices is desirable but not mandatory.

    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.

    Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

    Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and clinical note taking.
