24HourNurse is offering Psychiatrist Contract Assignments at Osawatomie State Hospital in Kansas.
Position: Physician Specialist Psychiatrist
Location: Osawatomie, KS
Shift: M-F, 8 am – 4:30 pm
Length: 3-6 month contracts, with option to extend
Start dates are generally every other Monday and is scheduled based on when your credentialing/privileging is complete. Hospital Wide Orientation is about 7 days and then discipline specific orientation with the medical director.

Pay:
Local: $160/hr. Weekly based on 40 hrs/week is $6400
Travel: $170/hr blended rate. Hourly breakdown of the $170/hr is $140.96 taxed, plus $18.72 housing stipends, plus $10.31 per diem.
Weekly travel rate based on 40 hrs/week is $6800 blended rate. Of the $6800/week, $5638.40 is taxable, stipends are $748.80, and per diem is $412.80.

Education and Experience Requirements:
a. Graduate of an accredited school of profession.
b. Currently registered and licensed with the appropriate Kansas State Board.
c. At least one year of experience in the clinical profession.
d. Ability to communicate, be observant and make professional decisions.

Medical and Psychiatric Care Job Description:
- Follows the progress of the patient, assessing the psychiatric and medical conditions and make
- diagnoses, evaluating the effectiveness of the prescribed regimen, and modifying treatment as indicated
- Orders laboratory tests and other diagnostic procedures
- Assesses the need for seclusion and restraint and takes responsibility for justifying
- such treatment Completes mental status examination as often as necessary.
- Maintains an assigned clinical caseload. ,
- Consults appropriately with supervisor or other agency personnel who can provide expertise in
- special treatment problems, as well as making referrals to consultants as deemed appropriate
- Quality of patient care delivered is reviewed and evaluated on a regular basis by supervisor and subject
- to peer review process
- Participates in consultations with medical/psychiatric consultants, making adequate preparation and/or
- completing
- initial screening tests in order to provide adequate date for the consultant, and follows up as appropriate
- Participates in hospital-wide OD rotation.
