With clinics in Paramus, Fairfield, and beyond, our mission is to provide compassionate, cutting-edge care to individuals suffering from treatment-resistant depression and other mood disorders.
Position Overview
We seek an experienced and empathetic Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team. This role offers the opportunity to provide advanced psychiatric care, including the administration and management of Spravato (Esketamine) and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapies. As a key member of our team, you’ll have a direct impact on patient outcomes, leveraging innovative treatments in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Comprehensive Psychiatric Assessments: Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to assess the appropriateness of Spravato and TMS treatments, incorporating patient history and diagnostic findings.
Treatment Planning and Implementation: Collaborate with clinical team members to create individualized care plans, oversee treatment administration, and adapt strategies as patient needs evolve.
Administration of Spravato and TMS: Oversee the administration of Spravato treatments, adhering to REMS (Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy) guidelines, and ensure patient comfort and safety during TMS sessions.
Patient Monitoring and Support: Monitor patient progress, manage adverse reactions or side effects, and provide necessary follow-up care to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
Education and Communication: Educate patients and their families on treatment expectations, potential side effects, and the goals of therapy to support informed, empowered decision-making.
Collaboration and Crisis Intervention: Partner closely with other healthcare providers and support staff to ensure holistic care and provide immediate interventions in cases of psychiatric emergencies.
Qualifications
Education and Licensure: MD or DO with an active and unrestricted medical license in NJ.
Board Certification: Board certification in Psychiatry required.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in clinical psychiatric practice. Experience in treatment-resistant depression and familiarity with advanced therapies such as esketamine or TMS preferred.
Certification: Willingness to become REMS-certified for Spravato administration.
Skills: Strong diagnostic skills, compassionate patient-centered approach, and a collaborative mindset.
