Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Psychologist/Social Worker.
In this role, the successful candidate will primarily provide clinical services as well as potentially some academic tasks in the I.B.D. Center, Division of Gastroenterology. This would include individual and group psychotherapy with patients who have gastrointestinal conditions, primarily Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis but also disorders of gut-brain interaction, i.e. irritable bowel syndrome. The candidate may also conduct outreach, program development, training and research, time permitting. The candidate will join a growing team of behavioral health clinicians headed by a senior psychologist; if needed, clinical supervision may be provided.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist with program development activities ie outreach, patient and provider education, networking with community providers
Carry a caseload of individual and group therapy patients
Time permitting, academic responsibilities (research, teaching)
Clinical work is hybrid (part remote, part in person)
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a PhD or PsyD degree in clinical or counseling psychology or related field, an LCSW or a DSW.
Required Licenses: Psychologist, Social Worker
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a health psychology and/or GI psychology setting is preferred but not essential. Having a wide range of training and professional experience with regard to therapeutic modalities and theoretical orientations is a plus.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and function as part of a multidisciplinary team.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $87,200.00 - $140,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
