The Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional service to guests in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. This role involves processing payments, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and ensuring all equipment is well-kept and ready for use. Responsibilities: • Approach all encounters with guests and employees with a smile. • Have a thorough knowledge of menu. • Mix and garnish beverages according to standards. • Food prep according to standards as needed. • Check guests for proper identification and serve alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with federal, state, local and company laws and regulations. • Stock and maintain the bar to include, but not limited to, beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce. • Cut, store and ensure product quality of all beverage-related perishables. • Monitor cleanliness and proper sanitation of service bar, bar tables, stations and service areas. • Inventory liquor food supplies and equipment weekly. • Order or requisition supplies as needed. • Ensures all temp logs and waste logs are maintained daily. Receives dates and examines foodstuff s and supplies to ensure quality and quantity meet established standards and specifications. • Quickly and accurately take guest orders. • Accommodate any special requests made by a guest or offer appropriate alternatives. • Ensure guests are enjoying their meals and act to correct any problems. • Attempts to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as discontinuing alcohol service and notifying management of potential problem(s). • Accurately prepare meal checks and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, making change and processing gift, cards room credits and vouchers. • Perform opening and closing procedures. • Perform any other duties as requested by management. Qualifications: • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field a PLUS. • Bartending experience required, hotel bartending a PLUS. • English fluency required. • Certification of previous training in liquor, wine, and food service a PLUS. • Ability to input and access information in computers. • Must be willing and have the ability to work evenings that may include weekends and holidays. • Willing and able to stand/walk for the entire shift if needed. Compensation: $11 - $12 hourly
