    Job Description

    The TENANT INSURANCE SPECIALIST will be responsible for integration of acquisitions and third party managed properties, customer service and resolution of issues for customers enrolled in the Orange Door and Savvy Storage Insurance Programs. The primary function of this position is to provide the highest quality service to our customers, both internal and external.    RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

    • Integration of acquisitions and third party managed properties into the Orange Door Storage Insurance Program. This includes participating on implementation calls, getting supplies ordered, communications to the field, communications to any previous insurance vendors and communications to new customers
    • Liaison with IT if issues arise on both the Orange Door Storage Insurance Program and the Savvy Storage Insurance Program to ensure swift resolution and adherence to regulatory compliance
    • Maintain, report and update licenses for PS, PSCC and Risk Management department with assistance of outside agency
    • Assist with licensing for Savvy owners/operators and maintain logs, renewals, etc. 
    • Manage Surety Bond renewals and additions/deletions
    • Participate in monthly open items calls and meetings as needed
    • Assist with integration of new owners and locations offering the Savvy Storage Insurance Program
    • Assist with answering calls & questions for PSCC 800 numbers and emails
    • Assist with training Tenant Insurance Coordinators on answering calls & questions via phone and email and other projects
    • Liaison with TPA for assistance with reaching field for investigations
    • Assist with training documents as needed
    • Maintain current content for Intranet, website and other sources
    • Research and respond to BBB complaints
    • Research and respond to Privacy emails
    • Review and input invoices for approval
    • Order and manage insurance supply orders for the field
    • Prepare and analyze reports on monthly and as needed basis
    • Attend tradeshows and meetings as needed
    • Special projects as needed

    COMPENSATION HOURLY PAY RANGE: $30.00 - $33.00 Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of our total awards approach to compensation which is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.

    • A Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
    • A current and valid California Property & Casualty broker’s insurance license or must obtain within 60 days of hire
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the insurance industry
    • Strong Interpersonal and communication skills
    • Strong follow up skills
    • Results oriented
    • Fosters a customer service orientation
    • Proficient on Microsoft Office using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • Interpersonal, analytical and problem solving abilities
    • Organizational and time management skills
    • Prior experience in a client facing role, building and maintaining relationships
