ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Inspects and maintains stormwater system. (Inspects and maintains stormwater

structures and channels to ensure controlled flow of water; repairs stormwater system as

directed by work order.)

Performs Public Works construction and maintenance. (Maintains concrete, asphalt, and

gravel pavements; installs, repairs, and replaces asphalt, concrete, and unit paver

sections and thermoplastic pavement markings; and installs street signs.)

Performs grounds maintenance. (Performs landscape and grounds maintenance in

conjunction with stormwater repair activities; removes damaged trees and debris in

emergencies.)

Operates and maintains machinery and equipment. (Operates and maintains machinery,

heavy construction and farm equipment, vehicles, and power and hand tools.)

 Provides General Services customer service. (Assists internal and external customers;

communicates with customer at beginning and end of provided service call; and ensures

customer satisfaction of work performed.)

May perform other essential job functions specific to the position and department

assignment.
