We are seeking an organized and proactive Bilingual Purchasing Agent to manage procurement processes and supplier relationships in both English and Spanish. The successful candidate will ensure cost-effective and timely acquisition of goods and services while fostering excellent communication with local and international vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and source suppliers, negotiate pricing, and manage contracts to secure the best value for goods and services.
- Prepare and process purchase orders while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, including those in Spanish-speaking regions.
- Translate documents, emails, and communications between English and Spanish.
- Monitor delivery schedules and address any issues to avoid disruptions.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, evaluate supplier performance, and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, finance, and logistics, to meet company objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent, Procurement Specialist, or similar role.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).
- Knowledge of industry-specific supply chain regulations and best practices.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
