    Brulin has an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Agent. In this role a candidate will be responsible for the total procurement cycle of raw material, consumables, packaging including sourcing, negotiating, planning, purchasing, new setups, delivering, and returning of material in support of project requirements of our company. As a key member of the purchasing team, you will assist Purchasing Manager and support to develop and maintain supplier relationships as well as internal relationships within organization. Responsibilities will encompass assist in evaluating suppliers, managing contracts, optimizing costs, and ensuring timely delivery of goods while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.

    Position Objectives and Primary Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the monitoring, forecasting, and the planning of purchases for all raw materials, hard goods, and packaging materials.
    • Assist Purchasing Manager in identifying new suppliers, with developing inventory procurement strategies, and negotiating pricing contracts.
    • Responsible for overseeing the accuracy of ERP system with regards to safety stock, min/max levels, purchasing lead times, and inventory planning through MRP
    • Perform cost / scenario analysis and benchmarking for new and existing raw materials.
    • Take the lead in creating profitable ways to manage obsolete and slow-moving inventory to assist with increasing profits and reducing inventory levels.
    • Responsible for managing and updating the Vendor Master and Product Master in ERP system.
    • Stay up to date with market trends and information on raw material supply and pricing.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance efficiency in the Purchasing Dept.

    Position-Specific Skills Required

    • Minimum 3-7 years of experience in a Purchasing Dept as a Purchasing Agent preferably chemical industry experience
    • Proficiency with MRP planning in ERP systems and use of Microsoft Office with a strong understanding and usage of Microsoft Excel.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Pro-active problem-solving ability and a continuous improvement mindset.
