Job description

Our company currently has an immediate opening for a Purchasing Agent. TDC is a custom machine builder that serves many diverse industries. These industries include Telecommunications, Automation, Robotics, Food, and Automotive.

Role Requirements

Prepares Purchase Orders based on project requirements

Being able to multi-task, handling up to 30 projects at a time

Maintain PO status by excel to ensure on-time delivery

Working with ERP system, M1

Establish new processes

Negotiate payment terms and pricing

Source new suppliers

Being able to work with engineers and address revisions to drawings

Preferred is a knowledge base of blueprint drawings (working with machine parts and weldments a plus)

Preferred experience working in a Machine / Fabrication shop

Knowledge of ordering raw steel is preferred

Knowledge of steel, aluminum coatings and finishing is preferred

Scheduling for in-house machine shop and fabrication

Update supplier lists

Preparing spare parts orders and being able to pull parts from stock room

Must have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office

Must be a self-starter and able to work without direction

Answering phone when required
