Purchasing Coordinator 

Minneapolis, MN | 6 Month Contract | Hybrid | $25-30/hr

Konik is partnering with a local manufacturing company that is seeking a contract Purchasing Coordinator for the microelectronics department.  There is a possibility of extension, but the contract is set for six months at this time.  This role is an excellent opportunity to apply your purchasing expertise in a fast-paced environment. As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing procurement data, processing purchase orders, and supporting purchasing operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Purchasing Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Generate and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in quantities, specifications, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain and update procurement records to track orders and supplier details.
• Monitor order progress and follow up on shipments to meet deadlines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve order discrepancies or supplier issues.
• Provide administrative and operational support to the purchasing team.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and ethical standards.
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc tasks as assigned.
• Communicate with suppliers to facilitate smooth purchasing processes.

Purchasing Coordinator Qualifications:

• Associate degree or at least three years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and ability to compile procurement data for reporting.
• Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
• Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Availability to work on-site at least three days per week.
