PPS is seeking a seasoned Purchasing Coordinator for our aluminum extrusion facility near Eugene. This is a temporary role that will last around 60-90 days. There is some possibility that the position will be extended beyond 90 days.
The Purchasing Coordinator ensures the efficient procurement of materials and services necessary for operations and reports directly to the Plant Manager.
- Oversee and maintain company inventory.
- Perform administrative and clerical duties for the purchasing department.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Planner to ensure products are obtained for maintenance projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with wholesalers and suppliers.
- Prepare competitive quotes for parts/equipment for approval.
- Maintain purchase orders and system.
- Follow up on past due orders / late deliveries to eliminate late shipments and back orders.
- Research vendors and collect prices, specifications, and other goods related data.
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping for the purchasing department.
- Other duties as assigned.
