  • Responsibilities

    The Estimator position is responsible for supporting the Pre-construction team with estimating the cost of all products for sale by the company, Trade Partner requests for bids and RFI resolution, purchase order distribution, job cost creation, permitting, and change order processing. Responsibilities: • Read residential construction documents. • Review job documents such as colors, options, and plans for accuracy. Work with other team members to ensure discrepancies in those documents are corrected per the process • Estimating services for residential products, including material take-offs and cost projections • Utilize office software to develop job-specific budgets and purchase orders • Support the Selections team on product pricing • Support the Sales team on project management and custom price requests • Process and track change orders to support the production team in executing those changes • Request and review surveys and grading plans • Obtain all developer and archboard approvals for projects • Complete and submit the required paperwork for securing all required permits • Prepare Pre-Construction pack for the Production team • Prepare and publish the Production Schedule • Support weekly Starts Meeting • Support implementation and maintenance of back-office software system(s) • Review, process, and track all variance purchase orders for the Production Team • Participate as an active member of the Company team, providing insight to the department leaders on improving performance and customer satisfaction • Support the Purchasing Manager in creating master plan budget projections and material lists • Support the Purchasing Manager in establishing and maintaining relationships with Trade Partners Qualifications: • Ability to work within a team, and to work with other teams within the company to ensure accuracy and efficiency • Ability to read and comprehend detailed construction documents such as plat maps, surveys, and construction plans • Residential construction estimating and data entry skills • Strong problem-solving abilities • Experience with job cost and/or budgets • Basic technology skills: Bluebeam, Microsoft Office software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Minimum technical college degree Compensation: $58,000 - $65,000 yearly
