Responsibilities: • Analyze inventory levels and trends in order to determine the most suitable purchasing quantities and timings for optimal stock management. • Ensure that appropriate stock levels are maintained while effectively minimizing excess inventory costs. • Build and sustain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate competitive pricing, favorable terms, and reliable delivery schedules. • Secure advantageous deals and maintain a dependable supply chain with minimal associated costs. • Establish and enforce inventory control procedures to precisely monitor stock movements and reduce discrepancies to a minimum. • Produce detailed reports on purchasing activities, inventory turnover rates, and cost-saving measures to facilitate informed decision-making. • Offer valuable insights for strategic planning and the implementation of cost-effective inventory management strategies. • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales and operations, to accurately forecast demand and plan purchases accordingly. • Ensure that purchasing activities are aligned with and contribute to the achievement of overall business objectives. Qualifications: • Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing and inventory management required • At least 2 years of experience in a wholesale or distribution company is necessary • A Bachelor's degree is a must-have qualification • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite • Must possess a strong attention to detail • Ability to work with accounting systems is required • US work authorization is mandatory • Willingness to work 5 days a week in-store and be on your feet a minimum of 50% of the time Compensation: $52,000 yearly including bonus
