    Our client is looking for a Purchasing Manager to manage the buying, inventory and negotiation of large contracts regionally to acquire the best deal for roofing supplies.     Position: Purchasing Manager
    Compensation: $125K-$150K
    Location: Canton, MI

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyze project requirements and develop procurement strategies to meet the company’s goals and objectives.

    • Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and establish partnerships that align with the company’s quality and cost standards.

    • Source and procure roofing materials from reliable suppliers while ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.

    • Monitor supplier performance, address any issues or discrepancies, and maintain positive relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance.

    • Manage inventory levels of roofing materials and supplies to support ongoing projects and prevent stock outs or excess inventory.

    • Conduct regular inventory assessments, forecast future material needs, and optimize inventory turnover to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.

    • Identify and mitigate procurement risks, such as supply chain disruptions, market fluctuations, or contractual disputes, through proactive risk assessment and contingency planning.

    Requirements:

    • 3+ Years of relevant work experience preferred.
    • Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management or equivalent military experience

    • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as ERP systems or procurement platforms.
