    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join the team! As the Purchasing Manager, you will be creating and implementing strategies in our purchasing process to increase savings, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. You will also manage the team of purchasing staff, provide mentorship and coaching as needed, and work closely with the rest of the company to ensure needs are met across the board. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of purchasing procedures and contracts, has strong interpersonal skills, and has strong attention to detail.

    Responsibilities

    Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and increase savings

    Develop and implement management strategies, policies, and procedures

    Create short and long-term goals for your department

    Work closely with other departments, including sales and marketing, to ensure needs are being met

    Enter purchase requests from department managers, follow up on orders, confirm deliveries.

    Qualifications

    Extensive experience in accounting, purchasing, managing inventory, and creating policies and procedures around purchasing

    Deep knowledge of contracts and negotiations within the scope of corporate purchasing

    Experience managing a team

    Experience with Sage Accounting and MRP software a plus
