Job Description
We are seeking a staff accountant to join our small but amazing family of pioneering wine enthusiasts! You will manage the daily financial housekeeping of Purple Sky Winery alongside the exciting and luxurious in-house restaurant and wine tasting location.

Responsibilities:
Performs general cost accounting and other related duties.
Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
Assists in preparation of necessary documentation for tax filings.
Maintains the general ledgers for winery and restaurant.
Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related field.
No previous work experience in accounting required. You will be trained on the job.
Strong critical thinking skills.
Ability to communicate well with others.
Spoken Mandarin Chinese desired, but not essential for the position.
We are looking for those local to the state of Utah who are willing to work or commute to the town of Snowville for the first 4-6 months prior to the completion of our offices and wine manufacturing facilities in the city of Pleasant View, Utah.

We are a family run company. Our roots are in the aquaculture feed industry, however in recent years we have reached out into the exciting world of viticulture and wine production. Purple Sky Winery is one of only a handful of wineries focusing solely on the growth and development of cold-tolerant varietals. Our fields are spread across a large set of areas in the northern Utah towns of Snowville, Honeyville and Deweyville. Once complete, our cutting-edge facility in Pleasant View is expected to be the largest producer of wines in the entire Rocky Mountain area.
