    Role Description

    We are hiring a full-time QA engineer to join our small team at Strategic Systems and Technology. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality through exploratory and automated testing. As a QA Engineer, your responsibilities will include conducting exploratory testing , creating and executing test cases/scenario s , writing and maintaining automation scripts , and p romptly identifying and reporting bugs to support the development process.

    QA Engineer responsibilities are:

    • Demonstrate flexibility in both manual and automated testing approaches
    • Create and execute detailed test cases and scenarios for manual testing
    • Build and execute automation scripts using open source tools
    • Plan and perform testing activities , thoroughly identifying and documenting bugs
    • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
    • Perform thorough functional, regression, exploratory, mobile, and cross-browser testing
    • Work with QA management and software developers to analyze and ensure product quality is met for approved requirements
    • Participate in agile ceremonies and provide quality-related insights

    Qualification:

    • 4+ years of experience in manual and automation testing
    • Understanding of testing frameworks and tools such as WebdriverIO, Playwright, Appium, JMeter, and K6.
    • Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools
    • Experience in manual testing methodologies and best practices
    • Proficiency in defect tracking and test management tools
    • Experience in testing mobile applications (iOS/Android) using simulators or real devices.
    • Preferred experience with Google cloud platforms, MQTT, and IoT protocols.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent English communication and teamwork abilities.
    • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • Adaptability to new tools, technologies, and changing requirements.
    • Effective time management and ability to handle multiple tasks.
    • Ability to objectively evaluate and quickly enable the team to implement alternative courses of action when priorities change rapidly.
