    Job Description

    QDRO Group is seeking an attorney or recent law school graduate, those graduating in May 2022 will be considered, to join our growing company.  We offer a unique combination of legal and actuarial expertise to guide domestic relations attorneys through all aspects of the division of retirement benefits division.  As we expand our national presence, we are committed to growth, and need team members that are ambitious and want to actively take part in all the steps along the way.

    Our role is niche and the successful candidate is not expected to have a background knowledge, only the drive and willingness to learn.

    Position Responsibilities:

    ·         Be respectful and kind to your coworkers.

    ·         Learn and understand retirement benefits and how said benefits are to be divided in a divorce.

    ·         Review and interpret judgment entries and separation agreements regarding the division of retirement benefits.

    ·         Draft division orders, including Qualified Domestic Relations Orders.

    ·         Advise attorneys on how to divide retirement benefits.

    ·         Draft custom separation agreement/stipulated judgment entry language for attorneys to divide retirement assets.

    ·         Perform legal research when needed.

    ·         Regularly communicate with our attorney-clients.

    ·         Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously.

    Position Requirements:

    ·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    ·         Ability to build rapport with our attorney clients.

    ·         Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    ·         Strong attention to detail.

    ·         Proficient computer skills.

    ·         Juris Doctor.

    ·         Bar passage preferred, but not required.

    Compensation and Benefits

    ·         Medical, premiums paid in full by company.

    ·         Dental, premiums paid in full by company.

    ·         401(k) with company match.

    ·         Work/life balance; only required to work 40 hours per week.

    Salary starts at $75,000 for a new graduate and will pay more based on experience.
