Job Description:
We are looking for a talented QE (Quality Engineering) Engineer with a strong background in SecDevOps to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans, implementing automated testing frameworks, and collaborating with development and operations teams to embed security practices throughout the testing lifecycle. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the quality and security of our software products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Plan Development: Design and develop detailed test plans and test cases that cover functional, performance, and security aspects of the software applications.
- Automated Testing: Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to streamline testing processes, improve efficiency, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Security Integration: Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security practices into the testing lifecycle, ensuring that security is a fundamental aspect of quality assurance.
- Test Execution: Execute test cases, identify defects, and track issues through resolution, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet security standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and security professionals, to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities in the software.
- Continuous Improvement: Advocate for best practices in testing and security, and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
- Metrics and Reporting: Establish metrics to measure testing effectiveness and quality, and provide regular reports to stakeholders on testing outcomes, security vulnerabilities, and remediation efforts.
- Training and Support: Provide guidance and support to team members on secure testing practices, fostering a culture of security awareness within the QA team.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, with a strong focus on SecDevOps practices.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Experience with test automation and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices and security testing methodologies.
- SecDevOps Knowledge: Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices, including how security integrates into the software development lifecycle.
- Cybersecurity Awareness: Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities and techniques for testing and validating security controls.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems to identify potential quality and security issues.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
