    Job Summary The RYC Foods' Quality System Assistant will support the implementation and maintenance of the food safety programs and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations. This role involves assisting with documentation, training, and the monitoring of food safety practices within the organization.

    Key Responsibilities: Documentation Management: Assist in the creation, organization and maintenance of food safety documentation, including policies, procedures, and training materials. Training Support: Help coordinate and conduct training sessions for staff on food safety practices and procedures. Monitoring Compliance: Inspect, monitor or verification of the Food Safety Systems, procedures to ensure adherence to safety standards and the customer agreement. Detect, report and act against unsafe and food safety conditions. Data Entry and Reporting: Assist in the collection and analysis of data related to food safety metrics; prepare reports for management. Corrective Actions: Support the investigation of food safety incidents and assist in implementing corrective actions as necessary. Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards. Third-Party Audits: Assist in the preparation for an accompaniment of third-party audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with quality system requirements. Quality Module Administration: Manage and oversee the quality module in SAP, ensuring accurate data entry, reporting, and compliance with food safety and quality standards. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on food safety regulations and best practices; recommend improvements to existing procedures.

    Back up QUALITY TASKS Inspect receiving operations, production processes and shipping Analyze raw material and finished product as part of compliance with raw material and finished product specifications (yield, sealed packaging conditions, sensory evaluation) Record the results of inspections and evaluations in assigned records Performance analysis (on the floor and on the production process control sheets)

    Back up DNP TASKS Support in the development and sensory evaluation of prototypes of new products Audit points of sale Configuration of new products and modification of bills of materials in SAP, SOP and specifications

    Required Competencies

    Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field

    Experience: Previous experience in food safety, quality assurance, internal and external audits, document management

    Skills: Experience with SAP, particularly the quality module is preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Working Conditions: May require lifting up to 30 pounds and standing for extended periods Exposure to various food products and kitchen environments Work in wet areas and conditions of refrigeration and freezing Presence of volatile ingredients and use of certain chemicals
