    Job Description

As KIOXIA’s Qualification Engineer, this role offers hands-on experience and collaboration with industry experts to test and evaluate SSD products in real-world customer environments. You’ll work directly with our team and clients, including the chance to collaborate with engineering teams in Japan to resolve technical challenges and develop cutting-edge solutions.     Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with Senior Qualification Engineers to support the qualification of KIOXIA SSD memory products.
    • Set up, maintain, and conduct hands-on testing of NVMe servers and storage platforms, gaining valuable technical experience.
    • Perform initial failure analysis on SSDs that encounter issues, learning essential troubleshooting techniques.
    • Track and communicate the status of SSDs sent to Japan for further analysis, supporting cross-functional collaboration.
    • Generate reports and provide updates to both OEM and internal support teams, building valuable customer service and technical communication skills.
    • Work closely with OEM customers, gaining insights into customer support and engagement.
    • Assist with developing test plans, identifying required equipment, and setting schedules to meet customer needs.
    • Diagnose, document, and work to resolve customer technical issues, gaining critical problem-solving experience.
    • Take on additional related tasks as required, broadening your technical knowledge.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • B.S. or M.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Science), this is an early career role with 0-2 years of experience (including internships).
    • Technical internships preferred, especially those involving hands-on testing, hardware qualification, system debugging, or technical support in the semiconductor/tech industry.
    • Foundational understanding of NVMe interfaces, with knowledge of SAS/SATA interfaces, storage architectures, operating systems, and RAID file systems preferred.
    • Experience in the SSD or computer industry, with familiarity in using SAS and/or SATA protocol analyzers preferred.
    • Strong communication and customer engagement skills.

    The expected salary for this position is $84,522.00 - 140,871.00.
