    POSITION SUMMARY

    Performs auditing function for all EAMS processes/procedures throughout the facility.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    Primary

    • Assists Manager Quality Assurance with creating internal audit checklists.
    • Planning and conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with aviation regulations and customer requirements.
    • Coordinates with all external auditors performing quality audits of EAMS.
    • Evaluating operational processes to identify areas of improvement and compliance issues.
    • Preparing detailed audit reports and presenting findings to management.
    • Monitoring corrective actions and ensuring they are effectively implemented.
    • Assisting in the investigation of incidents and accidents to identify root causes and preventive measures
    • Maintains list of approved vendors.

    Secondary

    • Provide guidance and training to staff on quality assurance matters.
    • Keep up-to-date with changes in aviation regulations and industry standards.
    • Participate in safety and quality meetings and workshops.
    • Recommend company policies and procedures to reflect current best practices and regulatory requirements.

    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    Education:

    • A&P Certificate - Preferred
    • High School Diploma required, A.S. / B.S. Degree in Aviation preferred

    Experience:

    • Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 / C.A.S.E.-1A preferred
    • Prefer three years' experience as an aircraft inspector or auditor
    • Practical experience with quality audit procedures (may be met by formal auditor training, prior experience as an auditor, or a minimum of 40 hours auditor experience with documented On-the-Job Training (OJT) by a qualified auditor).

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

    • Knowledge of safety and operating procedures while working around aircraft and while working around component maintenance shops.
    • Knowledgeable of the following applicable regulations: FAA; NFPA; OSHA.
    • Ability to understand company SOP's and customer GMM's.
