Duties and Responsibilities:
The QA Chemist is responsible for supporting the quality system processes and standards, performing raw material, intermediate, and final product testing, and assisting with production.
The QA Chemist collaborates closely with Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Shipping, and Receiving. The incumbent must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment and be a self-starter.
The QA Chemist is expected to work 3-11 PM, Monday – Friday, but may be required to work overtime or on weekends and/or holidays to support Manufacturing and Lot Release activities.
**** Key duties include but not limited to the following:
- Conduct routine laboratory tests, such as sample preparation, chemical analysis, and quality control checks, following established protocols.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Record, analyze, and interpret data, while ensuring proper documentation and adherence to data integrity principles.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Assist with product investigations, CAPAs/CARs, and timely reporting and closure & communication of product nonconformances including issuance of corrective actions.
- Collaborate with team members to address and resolve production and technical issues.
- Support other roles within the organization as needed, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn new tasks.
- Provide operators with batch corrections as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Preparation and shipment of sample to customers to DOT and IATA requirements.
**** General Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field; or equivalent experience in a laboratory setting.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment, techniques, and safety protocols.
- Knowledge of production chemistry and the related performance testing.
- Experience working with analytical equipment, including but not limited to, XRF, Flash point, Viscometers, Auto Titrators and FTIR.
Requirements: Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:
- Background in ISO 9001-2015
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong preference towards chemical manufacturing/processing.
- Strong project, time management and conflict resolution skills.
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a manufacturing setting and professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Some of the work will require exposure to loud noises or fumes in the plant facility, collaborating with officials, plant managers and employees.

- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
