Quality Assurance Manager - Multifamily/Commercial Developer - Base Salary to 50.00/hour - Boston, MA

• Our client is a developer that works predominately on multi-family construction across the northeast US. They are in the market for a Quality Assurance Manager. The responsibilities of this position include scheduling and carrying out quality control inspections to the standard outlined in the project specifications while maximizing the production schedule of the GC. We are looking at this being an hourly position but a direct hire with benefits. There is some travel involved away from Boston that could be a week at a time but most of the projects are close to the Massachusetts area.

Responsibilities:

• The ideal candidate will be able to understand the scope and details of the following inspection types:
  
  • Concrete – vapor barrier, forms and reinforcement. Monitor testing and pouring of concrete for footings, foundations and flatwork.
  • Framing - verify components, layout, assembly and execution of the framing phase. Identify and document any fixes to structural elements, obtaining an engineer’s certification.
  • Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems – layout and execution of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Electrical, Cable and Low Voltage systems.
• Understand quality and able to execute finish punch for completion of work and turnover to client.

Qualifications:

• 3+years of experience in property inspection, maintenance management, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards, and inspection techniques.
• Proficient in using inspection software and tools.
• Willingness to travel to various property sites.
• High school diploma or GED required, bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 40.00 - 50.00/hour range. Assumption is the annual will fall in the 80k - 100k/year range. Reason for hourly is due to possible overtime that the person will take on.
