    We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HVAC Quality Control Technician to ensure that heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting HVAC installations, identifying deficiencies, and supporting the project team in delivering high-quality workmanship.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Conduct on-site inspections of HVAC installations, including ductwork, piping, equipment, and controls.

    Verify compliance with mechanical drawings, specifications, codes, and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA).

    Monitor and document all phases of the HVAC installation process to ensure quality and safety.

    Perform functional tests and commissioning of HVAC systems to verify performance.

    Generate detailed QC reports, punch lists, and non-conformance notices.

    Collaborate with project managers, field technicians, and subcontractors to resolve issues.

    Review installation checklists and ensure accurate completion of documentation.

    Support internal audits and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

    Stay current with changes in codes, regulations, and best practices.

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in HVAC or Mechanical Engineering preferred.

    3+ years of experience in HVAC installation, service, or quality control.

    Strong understanding of HVAC systems, codes, and quality standards.

    Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints and technical documentation.

    Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a field-based environment.

    Familiarity with quality management systems and reporting tools.

    OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

    Comfortable working in various indoor/outdoor environments.
