Quality Control Document Control Specialist I
Job Description

We have an opening for a Quality Control Document Control Specialist I to review, verify, and monitor various quality systems and documentation, while providing support, solutions and/or direction and maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to VEI’s policies and procedures.
Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Review and file internal and third party test results.
• Compile test results for creation of COAs.
• Review specific lot criteria to establish approved release of finished goods.
• Customer contact and liaison for COAs and associated blend and finished good documentation.
• Gather supporting documentation for finished good release.
• Assemble Lot Folder (Batch Master, Test Results, Preliminary/Completed COA, In-process communication)s)
• Review and process ERP workflows for AFD and others as needed.
• Train other QC Techs on departmental job functions
• Comply with all safety and SOP procedures
• Work weekends and overtime if required.
• Comply with Valentine Attendance Policy as defined by the Valentine Employee Handbook. This includes arriving on-time for schedule shifts, being reliable and professional.
Non-essential functions:
• Gathering and/or sending of customer requested documents
• Build and expand knowledge base of Quality and Testing
• Provide informational support to Sales and Customer Service regarding COA and/or testing status
• Communicate and correspond in a clear, concise and professional manner

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous job experience in Quality position and/or function
• Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Capacity to learn
• Attention to detail
• Good interpersonal skills
• Function as part of a team
• Good Time Management skills
• Ability to work and stay on task with little supervision
Preferred Education and Experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning Software
• Previous experience working in an office environment
