Inspects purchased or manufactured parts, materials, and subassemblies used to make medical devices or their subassemblies. Detects defective or non-conforming components.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: include the following. Other Duties may be assigned
Use written instructions, engineering drawings, measuring instruments and/or test equipment to determine whether parts /materials meet the established dimensional specifications or possess specific required attributes.
Preforms all required tests and inspections in compliance with the applicable written procedures and accurately records the data.
Accurately tags materials to indicate quality inspection status.
Monitors, on a daily basis, the calibration status of tools and equipment used.
With experience, assists in the resolution of technical problems.
Works at a reasonable pace.
Capable of performing as Quality Auditor, as described by current job description.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality inspector position within a manufacturing setting required.
Previous experience detecting defects and irregularities on extremely small parts required.
Required Skills/Abilities
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedures, safety rules, operating instructions, engineering drawings and forms.
Excellent analytical skills to collect and analyze data.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply & divide in various units of measure.
Ability to work professionally and collaboratively cross-functionally with Production and Engineering.
Ability to multi-task and quickly shift priorities in support of production needs.
Must be able to enter data into spreadsheets or databases to record calculated values accurately.
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear.
Occasional use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
