POSITION SUMMARY:
MUST HAVE ELECTRICAL COMPONENT KNOWLEDGE
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for performing daily inspections of fabricated products, including but not limited to modular buildings and solar skids, to ensure compliance to drawings and specifications in a timely fashion. Position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of duties including, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform daily quality assurance inspections of products as required by using QC checklists, drawings and specifications
Performs electrical verification of installed equipment and components
Performs verification of all installed items for correctness and installation
Clearly document product deficiencies and follow-up with production to ensure deficiencies are corrected
Complete internal checklists properly for inspections completed
Verifies all items are completed and punchlists closed out in preparation for shipment of product
REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Certifications, And Other Skills)
High school diploma
Previous experience providing quality assurance and quality control on projects is desired
Must be detail oriented and familiar with interpreting drawings and shop details
Must have a good attendance record and have a strong sense of personal responsibility
Must be able to work well with other departments
Must have a good understanding of electrical systems and components with a working knowledge of the NEC Electrical code is desired
General Mathematical skills
Knowledge and experience with manufacturing inspection processes and have a good knowledge of all aspects of shelter production
Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
Self-motivated and works well with or without supervision.
Good organizational skills and a methodical approach to work.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Personal computer skills required.
Must be able to pass a drug test and background check

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to stand; sit; walk; talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate testing instruments, tools, computers and various pieces of office equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. The noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
