    LOCATION: 15323 Proctor Avenue, City of Industry, CA 91745 SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday (5:00 AM - 1:30 PM) PAY RATE FOR QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

    The base salary or hourly wage range for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors.     JOB PURPOSE: The primary function of this position is to assist in monitoring product safety, product quality, and R&D projects. This position requires a working knowledge of the following: moisture analysis, water activity, other quality measurement units, and a strong knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). Reporting to the Quality Assurance Director/Manager, quality control technicians follow through on set processes and ensure adherence to best production practices and product quality standards.

    Job Responsibilities and Tasks:

    Responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and reporting analytical results of products and raw materials including alerting out-of-compliance results.

    Perform a specified range of tests to verify that specifications are met and to reject nonconforming material or articles.

    Organize own work schedule in order to get the job done, coordinating with support services and assigning short-term tasks to others if necessary.

    Develop and maintain excellent process or technical skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.

    Review and help is developing QA procedures Regular review of production and receiving records Monitor production processing via random inspections

    Sensory evaluation, visual inspection and analyses (Organoleptic, Moisture, Water Activity) of raw ingredient and finished product samples

    Maintain sample retention library Assist in troubleshooting product discrepancies Internal audits

    Ensure laboratory safety and adhere to instructions for measuring quality metrics using laboratory equipment

    Conduct environmental analyses, i.e. swabbing

    Conduct titration analysis of sanitation chemicals

    Coordinate microbial analysis of raw ingredients and finished products Participate in the finished goods hold/release system

    Conduct tasks in accordance with GMPs

    Lend technical support to R&D, warehouse and production managers Assist in customer complaint/feedback resolution and communication

    Assist in the compliance with all appropriate third-party audits such as internal audits and HACCP

    Create and maintain production documents including, archival storage & organization, master document storage, certificates of analysis

    Assist with problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions

    Ensure incoming materials comply with required specifications Ensure outgoing products comply with required specifications

    Ensure production personnel are following proper procedure for ongoing production checks

    Assist with training and instruction for production operators in QA measuring procedures

    Development and maintenance of quality and food safety procedures and work instructions

    Audit and maintenance of compliance to required quality management system standards

    Provide management with detailed reports as required- daily, weekly, monthly, etc

    Communicate and follow Din Tai Fung's food safety commitment practices

    Other tasks as assigned by the Manager/Director

    JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN:

    A background in manufacturing and processing environments is desired

    Proven analytical strengths and experience

    Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions

    Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information and respond to questions from customers, managers or the general public

    Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail, time management and prioritization to achieve results

    Strong computer skills including Google Suite Programs

    Experience in writing reports

    Ability to react quickly to changing requirements

    Certifications:

    Certification in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) (Preferred)

    ServSafe Food Handler Certificate (Preferred)
