We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control and Compliance Manager/Engineer to oversee and enhance the quality assurance and regulatory compliance programs within our CPG organization. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring products, processes, and systems meet all applicable standards, regulations, and company policies.
This role involves a mix of strategic oversight, hands-on implementation, and cross-functional collaboration to promote quality, efficiency and adherence to legal and industry-specific regulations.
This position demands a strong analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality excellence. This position is on-site in our Greenfield Distribution Center.
What You Will Do:
- · Promote the development of Quality Competencies and Quality Awareness throughout the organization.
- · Develop testing matrix and maintain testing tracker for existing product SKUs in an efficient manner.
- · Monitor and arrange timely renewal of existing third-party product test reports.
- · Provide feedback on quality and tests for new product development.
- · Support the development of quality inspection requirements.
- · Assist leadership in prioritizing and implementing of continuous improvement projects.
- · Investigate product quality-related complaints or concerns and recommend viable solutions.
- · Initiate CAPA, SCAR and follow up on implementation and effectiveness with suppliers.
- · Perform regulatory research, identify impacts and risks to the business.
- · Manage compliance-related permits.
- · Address compliance inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- · Responsible for CPSC’s e-Filing accounts and establishing processes to comply with the requirements.
- · Stay current and attend training as needed on all regulatory issues, information from regulatory groups, and customer-specific requirements.
- · Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What You Will Bring:
- BS or MS degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or equivalent work-related experience.
- Certification in quality management (CQE, CQA, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt) preferred
- 6+ years’ work experience in consumer goods quality and regulatory compliance field.
- Familiarity with consumer goods safety standards (CPSIA, ASTM, CPC, CPSC, FDA, etc.)
- Knowledge in retail compliance programs (Walmart PQCM, Target PSQA, Amazon Vendor Central).
- Strong technical writing, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Great interpersonal skills to work in conjunction with other departments.
- Must be able to perform independently at high levels, under pressure in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
