Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain quality control procedures aligned with company goals and industry standards.
Oversee ISO 9001 certification, documentation, audits, and compliance.
Inspect incoming materials and ensure adherence to specifications.
Manage and lead the quality control team in product evaluations and process improvements.
Collaborate with internal teams to set product acceptance/rejection criteria.
Analyze test results, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
Monitor production to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Train and mentor staff on best practices, policies, and industry regulations.
Oversee team attendance, performance, hiring, and disciplinary actions.
Maintain detailed reports on audits, inspections, and quality control tests.
Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure material and component quality.
Stay updated on quality control advancements to drive process improvements.
Qualifications:
7+ years in quality control/assurance, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
Proficiency in calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and inspection tools.
Strong attention to detail and experience with statistical analysis.
Knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding, GD&T, NDT, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and ERP systems (Visual ERP preferred).
Bachelor’s degree preferred; an associate degree with relevant certifications (ASQ or similar) will be considered.
