    Responsibilities:

    • Provide engineering support to manufacturing ensuring consistent application of quality techniques.
    • Resolve quality issues of capability, tolerancing, and materials-related issues.
    • Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and providing resources.
    • Effectively communicate and reinforce DG's commitment to quality improvement efforts.
    • Review and analyze process inspection results. Recommend changes to processes based on findings and perform follow-up to verify effectiveness.
    • Coordinate and lead MRB functions in addition to internal audits.
    • Participate and lead the development of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
    • Develop and maintain sampling plans using attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methods.
    • Facilitate and promote the use of appropriate problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action.
    • Apply appropriate statistical techniques to evaluate process control and capability.
    • Determine and apply Measurement System Analysis (MSA) tools to ensure accurate data collection and measurement processes.
    • Participate in weekly Engineering Review Board (ERB) meetings to review and approve all engineering design and process change requests.
    • Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, and Production to resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
    • Perform duties in accordance with DG Quality Management System requirements and AS9100.
    • Perform additional tasks assigned by management.
    • Follow all DG safety procedures as per company policies and per the Facility Engineer/Safety Director.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a related Engineering field.
    • 3-10 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data to develop actionable conclusions and recommendations.
    • Hands-on experience with quality inspection tools (e.g., CMMs, micrometers, calipers) and root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 5-Why, Fishbone diagrams).
    • Experience developing and maintaining sampling plans using attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methods.
    • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
    • Proven experience coordinating Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Lean Six Sigma Certification.
    • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA).
    • Previous hands-on experience implementing and maintaining AS9100-compliant processes in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
    • Direct experience with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
    • Proven track record of establishing and tracking quality-related KPIs.
    • Ability to mentor and train team members on quality processes and tools.
