Role : Quality Inspector
Reporting to : Lee Gilmore, General Manager
** Duties & Responsibilities:** The role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Perform quality control inspections on parts, assemblies and processes including, but not limited to, mechanical and electrical components and other items pertaining to manufacturing of Lithium Ion Batteries
- Record inspection results in a detailed manner
- Use precision instruments during inspections
- Pick sample parts and sort incoming materials that may be up to 30lbs
- Use lifting equipment after training to lift and sort heavier materials
- Perform and maintain calibration of inspection and test equipment according to training and/or work instructions
- Monitor the disposition of nonconforming products
- Participate as a member of the Materials Review Board for part disposition and repair process
- Provide assistance to Production Personnel for determining rework
- Maintain nonconforming products in the quarantine areas. Ensure nonconforming products are adequately identified and reported to the Inventory Controller for adjustment
- Investigate nonconforming products, failures and causes and issue Corrective Action Requests
- Other duties or Special projects, as assigned by your supervisor or company representatives
** Qualifications and Requirements:**
- 3-5 years working in quality control and/or receiving inspection.
- Ability to read technical drawings and GD&T specifications
- Knowledge of using precise measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers and gauges
- Experience in calibration of measuring and test equipment.
- Knowledge of Google Drive and Docs Editors, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Able to work within a team-based environment and work independently to complete assignments
