Job Title: Quality Inspector
Reports To: Quality Inspection Manager
Summary:
We are currently seeking experienced Quality Inspectors to ensure the highest standards of quality and precision across our product lines. If you're detail-oriented, skilled in dimensional tolerance inspection, and dedicated to upholding quality standards, we want you on our team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect Outside Vendor (OSV) parts, documenting and reporting any discrepancies.
- Inspect purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and raw materials using precision measuring instruments.
- Conduct in-process inspections and prepare Inspection Discrepancy Reports (IDRs) as needed.
- Perform source inspections as requested by customers, ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Verify product dimensions against blueprints, customer specifications, and sample models.
- Conduct first article inspections and document findings accurately.
- Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists.
- Evaluate problems and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Maintain a clean work area following 5S principles.
- Undertake additional projects as assigned by the Quality Supervisor or Manager.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED; completion of an accredited apprenticeship or trade school program preferred.
- 5 or more years in Quality Inspection.
- Minimum five years' experience in dimensional tolerance inspection of aerospace products preferred.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, interpreting work instructions, and using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with ISO and/or NADCAP standards preferred.
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
