    Quality Inspector
    Saint Paul, MN | Direct Hire | $24-26/hr

    Konik is partnering with a well-established precision manufacturing company in the Northeast Twin Cities metro area to add a Quality Inspector II to their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a clean, organized facility that values professionalism, continuous improvement, and employee development. The ideal candidate will have strong inspection experience, a working knowledge of CMM and vision systems, and a passion for quality.

    Quality Inspector Responsibilities:

    • Perform in-process, final, and outgoing inspections (IQC/OQC/FAI) on mechanical components using hand tools, CMM, and vision systems
    • Set up, operate, and assist with basic programming of PCDMIS-based CMM and Keyence systems
    • Apply GD&T principles to interpret part drawings and verify part compliance
    • Assist in new product qualification activities (e.g., Gage R&R, capability studies, PPAP)
    • Support internal calibration processes—track gauges, coordinate internal/external calibrations, and issue calibration status reports
    • Accurately document inspection results and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives

    Quality Inspector Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Proficient in the use of CMMs, vision systems, hand tools, and optical comparators
    • Strong knowledge of GD&T and mechanical part inspection
    • Familiarity with calibration procedures and measuring standards
    • Comfortable using Excel, Word, and statistical tools to record and analyze quality data
    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and maintain accurate inspection records
    • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or formal training in quality or manufacturing is a plus
