  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Job Duties:

    • Ensure that all of the quality check procedures put in place by the company are followed during every production phase
    • Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
    • Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor.
    • Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
    • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into a quality database.
    • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs.
    • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
    • Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
    • Enforce quality procedures and note the corrective actions that were taken
    • Educate the production team on quality control issues and work with departmental managers to improve overall company safety and product quality.
    • Performs product/process analysis for quality improvement.
    • Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
    • Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested. Keep the work area clean and orderly.
    • Follow the instruction of the Manager/Supervisor/Lead
    • Inspects all parts so that they are complete and up to quality standards.
    • Any other duties as assigned by management.
    • Must comply with all OSHA and safety procedures.

    Knowledge, Education, and Experience include but are not limited to:

    • Excellent Organization Skills & self-motivated.
    • Be able to identify different models and read orders.
    • Be able to check boats and or parts in accordance with Nautique’s Quality System.
    • Must have strong attention to detail.
    • Keep work area clean and orderly
    • Work with a team to complete daily tasks
    • Follow the instruction of the lead when doing miscellaneous duties
    • Good verbal communication skills
      • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature
    • Must be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time
    • Must be able to climb into and out of the interior of boats
    • Must be able to wear proper safety equipment as needed
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds when necessary
    • The ability to see details at close range
    • Be able to use and maintain small hand tools (grinder, scraper, razor knife, blower, etc)
    • Must have a valid driver’s license
