    Job Description

    The Quality Intern will be introduced to the day-to-day operations of a warehouse environment while working closely with the operations team and continuous improvement engineers. This internship involves supporting quality inspections, monitoring inventory for defects, and assisting in the implementation of quality control processes. The intern will collaborate with warehouse staff to identify and resolve quality issues, maintain accurate records, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience in quality assurance within a fast-paced warehouse environment, providing valuable insight into operational excellence and product compliance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Participate in daily warehouse operations and gain an understanding of processes across different departments.
    • Analyze and identify root causes of any quality issues raised by customers, contributing to issue resolution.
    • Attend Dojo meetings and technical discussions to stay informed of key warehouse initiatives and quality improvements.
    • Assist in writing and updating technical documentation for warehouse processes across multiple client sites.
    • Develop JOT forms to digitize audits and checklists, ensuring smooth and efficient audit processes.
    • Collaborate with the Quality Manager to address Corrective Action Requests (CAR) from customers, ensuring that the root causes of quality defects are identified and resolved.
    • Communicate professionally with customers to understand and address any quality concerns or defects.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and determine root causes for quality issues.
    • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when documenting processes, writing reports, and conducting audits.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to present findings clearly and professionally to internal teams.
    • Problem-Solving: Experience or interest in identifying and resolving quality issues, with a proactive approach to implementing corrective actions.
    • Technical Documentation: Familiarity with or willingness to learn how to create and update technical documentation for warehouse processes.
    • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, as well as an ability or willingness to learn JOT forms or similar tools for digitizing audits and checklists.

    Tools & Systems

    • Software * JIRA, JotForms, CAD, and Office 365
    • Equipment * Computer, phone, high-speed internet, and other standard office tools.

    Education & Qualifications

    • Earning a degree in Industrial Engineering or related fields

    Working Conditions

    • Office and warehouse-based position.
    • Hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday on site.
