    Job Description

    Position Summary & Objective

    The Quality Manager oversees the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with established industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role is responsible for monitoring quality performance metrics, conducting data analysis, and generating reports to drive continuous improvement initiatives across departments.

    Essential Functions Performed by the Position

    • Conducts regular audits and inspections to verify adherence to quality standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Leads efforts in continuous quality improvement by resolving issues promptly and communicating concerns to relevant stakeholders.
    • Investigates complaints and deviations through comprehensive root cause analysis and documentation.
    • Collaborates cross-functionally to design, implement, and refine quality control processes.
    • Delivers training programs to team members on quality control procedures and improvement methodologies.
    • Manages and addresses customer complaints related to product or service quality, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
    • Continues to be informed on current industry trends, technologies, and regulatory developments to maintain organizational compliance.
    • Supports the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and related documentation.

    • Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations
    • Maintain a system for the identification, review, and disposition of non-conforming products and processes
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities ****

    • Strong understanding of ISO standards and certification processes (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001).
    • Proficiency in root cause analysis tools and quality improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, PDCA, CAPA).
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact across all levels of the organization.
    • Familiarity with quality management software and data analysis tools.
    • Familiar with processes and procedures related to heavy steel cutting, welding, and machining operations
    • Extensive experience with non-destructive testing including MT, PT, UT, RT, and Visual Inspection
    • Extensive experience with Dimensional Inspection methods
    • Proven experience in a quality management role
    • Conscientious and responsible with a results-driven approach

    Required Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
    • Engineering with experience in heavy manufacturing of fabricated, cast, and forged equipment
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within a regulated industry (e.g., manufacturing, steel, metal stamping, metal forming).
    • Experience managing or contributing to a QMS and leading audit activities.
