    Job Description

    Overall Purpose and Objective of Position

    Represent Quality in the Juice Platform in North America as part of the department management, executing quality management activities to help strengthen LDC's business relationships by ensuring quality standards.

    This position does not sit in a lab but is required to travel to 3rd party labs.

    Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

    • Keep up-to-date the Quality department information in the areas of Quality Assurance and Quality Control;
    • Responsible for guaranteeing internal processes and procedures are followed, enabling LDC to streamline workflow while meeting internal and external customer demand.
    • Keep record and updated commodity raw material specifications and approved supplier lists and their systematic tracking.
    • Ensure compliance with country regulatory such as: USDA, FDA and other potential certification schemes, as required by the platform;
    • Audit the performance of partners and suppliers according to LDC's standard.
    • Ensure the strategic vision and objectives of the commodity quality organization are followed, promoting and embedding goals in all areas of the organization.
    • Guarantee of KPIs are met, and produce daily quality reports and other necessary internal quality documents.
    • Visits to customers, suppliers and partners;
    • Represent local customer service: sending samples and documentations to customers, as well as providing all support for each customer's needs, improving their experience;
    • Participate in frequent meetings with corporate Brazil team to represent the quality department and meet company standards;

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Education/Professional Certifications/Licenses

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree with studies in quality management, chemistry, agricultural, engineering, food engineering or other related business discipline required. Masters degree preferred.
    • Experience in the beverage/juice industry.
    • Experience in quality management (Quality Control and Assurance)
    • Experience with SAP and MS Office software (Excel, Word and Power Point)

    Experience

    Basic Experience:

    • If Bachelor's degree is an area other than science, then must have 2 years of experience in laboratory setting as a technician or manager.

    Preferred Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated supervisory experience
    • Experience within a related beverage/juice industry

    Additional Information

    Equipment Used

    • Typical office equipment: PC, telephone, fax machine
    • Personal protective equipment (PPEs) will be worn in compliance with Company standards and government regulations as required

    Working Conditions

    • Position sits in an office and travels to labs.
    • Laboratory work is in a typical climate-controlled laboratory environment. Extensions of regular working hours are occasionally necessary to complete time-sensitive projects or to respond to emergencies. Periodic visits to industrial operations areas are necessary with exposure to variety of temperatures and prevailing weather conditions. Occasional exposure to areas with wet floors and loud noise.
