    POSITION PURPOSE

    As a Quality Technician at Bayport Laboratories, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our cosmetic products. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, tests, and quality control procedures to maintain high-quality standards and compliance with regulatory requirements. This position requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding our customer brand's reputation for excellence.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

    Quality Inspections: Conduct visual inspections and detailed examinations of cosmetic products at various stages of production to ensure they meet established quality standards.

    Testing: Perform product testing and analysis, including but not limited to pH testing, viscosity measurement, texture analysis, and microbiological testing if necessary.

    Documentation: Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, test results, and inspection reports. Document any deviations and take corrective actions as necessary.

    Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all cosmetic products meet regulatory requirements, including FDA guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

    Non-Conformance Management: Identify and document non-conforming products or processes. Collaborate with the production team to implement corrective and preventive actions.

    Sampling: Collect product samples for testing and analysis. Ensure proper sample handling and storage.

    Calibration: Calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

    Communication: Collaborate with production, R&D, and quality control teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement process improvements.

    Training: Assist in the training of production staff on quality control procedures and quality standards.

    PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

    Yearly reviews to assess success and improvement.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    · High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.

    · Proven experience as a Quality Technician or in a similar quality control role, preferably in the cosmetic industry.

    · Knowledge of cosmetic production processes and quality control procedures.

    · Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

    · Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and testing.

    · Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address quality issues.

    · Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

    · Proficiency in using quality control equipment and software.

    · Flexibility to work on a rotating shift schedule and respond to quality control needs outside regular hours.

    Education/Certification:

    Bachelor Degree or Associate Degree in Arts, Science, or Applied Science

    Required Knowledge:

    Experience in inspections and quality systems in a manufacturing environment

    Possess leadership skills and ability to be led in a manner that is healthy to our positive and collaborative work environment.

    Emphasizes personal and professional growth and keeps knowledge and skills current.

    Must rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

    Experience Required:

    2 years minimum of related work experience
